Deepgram raises $130M Series C at $1.3B valuation, acquires OfOne

Source: Deepgram press release · Jan 13, 2026

Deepgram has closed a $130 million Series C at a $1.3 billion valuation, and used the moment to simultaneously announce its acquisition of OfOne, an AI-native voice ordering platform built for restaurant and quick-service drive-thru use cases. The framing from Deepgram is explicit: this round and acquisition are meant to fund 'the voice AI economy' more broadly, not just Deepgram's own core speech-recognition product.

The OfOne acquisition is the more interesting signal than the raise itself. Deepgram built its business as infrastructure — speech-to-text and voice APIs that other companies build products on top of. Buying a vertical, consumer-facing voice product (drive-thru ordering) is a move up the stack, from selling picks and shovels to also owning an application layer that generates real voice interaction data at volume. That's a pattern worth watching across the voice AI category: infrastructure providers with strong funding are increasingly buying or building the applications that sit on top of their own APIs, closing the loop between the model and the data it's trained and evaluated on.
