Humanly raises $25M to point AI interviewing at job seekers, not just employers
Source: GeekWire · Sep 22, 2026
Humanly, a Bellevue-based AI interviewing and screening company, has raised a $25 million Series B, bringing its total funding to roughly $52 million. The scale it now operates at is the headline: around 9,000 interviews a day across 120-plus customers including Microsoft, Domino's and MGM Resorts, with revenue reported up 3.9x in just seven months.
Two strategic shifts stand out. First, Humanly is building a product aimed at job seekers, not only the companies doing the hiring — coaching candidates through the process rather than purely screening them out. Second, it is repositioning from software toward 'service-as-software': delivering pre-vetted, ready-to-hire candidates as an outcome, rather than selling tools and leaving the work to the customer.
Both moves point at the same underlying asset — the interview itself. Running 9,000 conversations a day generates an enormous, continuously growing corpus of real hiring dialogue, and both a candidate-coaching product and an outcome-based screening service are only as good as the signal pulled from those conversations. It is another data point in a pattern we keep seeing: the interview is quietly becoming one of the most valuable and sensitive datasets in hiring. What separates a durable business from a fragile one is whether all that captured conversation is handled with real consent and proper de-identification, or simply accumulated because it can be.
