Prolific hits $350M ARR, pivoting from academic panel to AI eval/RLHF

Prolific has reached roughly $350 million in ARR, according to a new Sacra research profile, on the back of a pivot from its original business — an academic research-participant panel used by university researchers to recruit study subjects — into AI evaluation and RLHF work. The platform ran 380,000-plus studies and tasks in 2025 across 200,000-plus active participants, and now counts 11,000-plus AI annotation specialists and 5,000-plus active AI taskers among that base, at a 42.8% platform take rate.
