Spott raises $21M to push agentic AI deeper into recruitment workflows

Spott, a Belgian startup building an AI-native applicant-tracking and CRM system aimed specifically at recruitment agencies, has raised a $21 million Series A led by Balderton. The company says revenue is up more than tenfold since early 2026 and is opening offices in New York and Sydney — a pace that reflects how quickly agentic tooling is being adopted inside the hiring workflow.
The significance for our space is directional. Recruiting is being rebuilt around AI agents that source, screen, and manage candidates, and each of those agent-run interactions produces a record of how real people were evaluated and what happened next. That is precisely the kind of structured, outcome-linked interaction data that becomes valuable once the workflow itself is automated.
It also underlines a distinction worth holding onto. Tooling that runs the process is not the same as a licensable, consented corpus of the interactions it generates — the first is software, the second is a data asset with provenance. As more of the hiring loop moves to agents, the question of who holds the rights to the resulting multimodal record, and whether it was captured with consent, only grows sharper.

- Revenue reportedly up more than 10x since early 2026; expanding into New York and Sydney
- Part of a broader move of agentic AI into sourcing, screening, and candidate management
- As agents run more of the hiring loop, the behavioral record of those interactions becomes a data asset
